Biography

David Howard Goldberg is an attorney practicing in the areas of planning, administration, and litigation in regard to Estates, Trusts, and Guardianships. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 1978. He attended the University of Miami School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1983 and Masters of Law in Taxation in 1984. Mr. Goldberg passed all four parts of the Florida Certified Public Accountant Exam in November 1982 and previously practiced as a Certified Public Accountant.

For the past 36 years he has been actively engaged in litigation involving the allocation of estate tax liability, probate, trust matters and guardianship disputes. In addition, he has practiced before the 3rd and 4th District Courts of Appeal in matters relating to Appeals of probate, trust and guardianship litigation. His practice also includes oversight of Estate Planning and Trust, Guardianship, and Estate Administration.

Mr. Goldberg has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami School of Law Graduate Tax Program. He has lectured on courses involving the Federal Income Tax Consequences of Real Estate Transactions, as well as speaking before the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants in regard to Generation-Skipping Transfers and the Dade County Probate Bar, and has also been an active speaker for the South Florida Paralegal Association. In addition, Mr. Goldberg has been named one of the top Estate and Probate Attorneys by the South Florida Legal Guide magazine for many years. He is a current and former member of the Florida Bar Probate Rules Committee.

His out of the office endeavors include skiing, scuba diving, blue water sailing, and mountain trekking.
